Purpose

To drive sales of vehicle weighing products from MWS, with a particular focus on weigh pads, by developing new business, managing customer relationships and converting sales opportunities into revenue.

This is a proactive sales role suited to someone with sales experience who is confident engaging with customers, identifying opportunities and taking ownership of their sales pipeline.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full sales process, from lead generation and initial contact through to quotation, follow-up and after-sales support.

Product and technical training will be provided, but a self-motivated approach, strong sales discipline and a desire to achieve results are essential.

What you'll do

  • Respond promptly to inbound enquiries and proactively follow up all new leads.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound calls, prospecting, networking and customer referrals.
  • Take ownership of the sales process, actively progressing opportunities from initial contact through to order.
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Arrange and conduct customer meetings and product demonstrations, both remotely and on-site.
  • Prepare and submit quotations in line with MWS pricing structures, ensuring opportunities are followed up consistently.
  • Meet agreed sales targets and KPIs, taking responsibility for performance and identifying actions to improve results.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow revenue, including repeat sales, additional products and service agreements.

What you'll bring

  • Sales or business development experience, with evidence of achieving targets
  • Confidence on the phone and the drive to generate your own leads
  • Strong follow-up and closing skills, and the discipline to run your own workload
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK
  • Experience selling technical or industrial products, using Pipedrive, or working in transport, logistics or vehicle weighing is a bonus.
