Role summary
At Micro Weighing Solutions, we keep the industry's weighing equipment accurate and audit-ready. We're also building toward employee ownership through an Employee Ownership Trust, so the people who grow this business will share in it.
Every month, a list of customers is due for weighpad calibration or a service contract renewal. As our Telesales Executive, you'll call each one and secure the purchase order before the month starts. It's the engine of our recurring revenue, and you'll see the results of your work on the schedule every month.
Alongside renewals, you'll handle new enquiries, follow up on marketing leads, and open doors with new customers.
What you'll do
- Work through the monthly weighpad calibration schedule, call every customer due and confirm equipment details, site contacts, access and preferred dates
- Secure a purchase order for every calibration and service contract renewal, and chase politely by phone and email until it arrives
- Check each service contract's asset list is current (what's been added, removed or replaced) so we can re-quote accurately
- Introduce customers to our UKAS-accredited weighpad calibration
- Respond to every new enquiry within 2 working hours and gather what we need to quote: equipment type, capacity, quantity, location and certification
- Follow up warm leads from our email, LinkedIn, website and event campaigns, and stay in touch with those not ready to buy yet
- Cold call target prospects to qualify need and secure quote requests or site visits, passing qualified opportunities to our Service Relationship Manager
- Update the renewal spreadsheets and CRM after every call, and report weekly on PO status, pipeline and enquiry response times
Life on the team
What you'll bring
- At least a year in B2B telesales, internal sales, renewals or account coordination
- A track record of working to monthly targets and hitting them
- Confidence on the phone with managers, engineers and procurement teams
- Strong Excel skills: working from large spreadsheets, filtering, sorting and keeping data accurate
- Experience of chasing and processing purchase orders
- Clear, professional writing for quotes and follow-up emails
